Our Leaders
I am married to Vanell Naum and together we have two wonderful children Ezekiel and Esther. Our family was blessed as we grew by two with our son’s wife Coen and our granddaughter Naomi.
Serving God along with my wife is very rewarding and a true blessing. The spiritual battle is never ending and together we are able to go through storms and celebrate victories.
Many years ago I had a radical encounter with Christ at a church conference that changed my life forever. It marked the beginning of a spiritual transformation by fulfilling my calling and take on the position as Senior Pastor of FOSLIC.
The goal for every Sunday Service is for people to walk in one way and walk out a different way. Being changed and empowered by the Holy Spirit through the Message, the Word or the Worship. The priority in every church service is as Paul states, Preach the Word but also break it down for all to understand and is able to apply it to their lives.
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit of both joints and marrow and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Senior Pastor Kosta Naum II
Humbly serving alongside of my husband, Sr. Pastor Kosta Naum is a spiritual high. I recall being in a conference with him when the Holy Spirit told me “buckle up!” Just then a down pouring fell upon both Kosta and I while both of his hands went up to bless the Lord. Together we have two keiki Ezekiel (24) & Esther (20), daughter-in-law Coen (24), and mo’opuna Naomi (2).
“UNLEASHED” Women’s Ministry was birthed of a vision to bless women as they’re the biggest servants in God’s house. “We wanted to bless them physically with a free meal and also spiritually with Worship & Word.”
During the week you can catch me with my husband to manage our businesses, KN Lawn Service, Inc. and VKN Services, Inc. I absolutely love that the Lord takes care of our schedules. It’s the only way we’re able to do what we do.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16))

Aloha everyone, I'm Laura. Ever since I was a little girl I've had a passion for music, a passion to play instruments, and a passion to sing. In 2014, God took that passion and gave it purpose. As God's word never returns to Him void, I was selected to be Worship Leader causing me to step out of my comfort zone and walk out in faith wherever God leads me.From that point on , it has been a hectic journey with twists and turns but God has always remained victorious. I am an empty vessel willing to be used and filled everyday with His power and presence.
In Feb 2020, I married JoshuaRoland DeFreitas Jr. Together, we continue to embrace our passion of serving God through worship. He continues to show us His faithfulness every single day.
"Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what HE has done. Sing to Him, sing praise to Him;
tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in HIS holy name;let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice." Psalm 105:1-3
Laura-Ashley DeFreitas,
Worship Leader

Michael Moore,
Deacon and Men's Ministry Leader
I've been with FOSLIC since I was 14 years old, sat in Sunday School and Wednesday Night Bible Studies. Now 22 years later, I'm blessed to be the Children's Ministry Leader, teaching the very children of those I sat within Sunday School those many years ago. My heart is toward empowering children to build their faith, talents and love for our Lord Jesus Christ and having and awesome and memorable time while doing so.
Deut 6:6-7 These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk to them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise.
Samlynn Moore,
Children's Ministry Leader
I am a mother of 4 and a blessed grandmother of 12. I've been with FOSLIC, over 20 years. My Joy is Serving the Lord and holding on to His Promises.
I am the Prayer Walk Coordinator, as we set forth through the leading of the Holy Spirit, being fully equipped with God's Armor. We are empowered to rule here on earth claiming every step, In The Name Of Jesus.
I am also serving on the Praise and Worship Team/Nursery, Children Sunday School.
Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Jackie Pauole,
Welcome and Prayer Walk Ministry Coordinator
Aloha, My name is Ka’ili I am the health and wellness leader at FOSLIC. The focus of our ministry is to encourage and support our members in making healthy choices and habits in their life. Members are supported by providing healthy tips, healthy recipes and snacks, as well as various health check points. Health and wellness is important so we are spiritually and physically strong to serve the Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is Christ jesus our Lord.

Hi my name is Sherman Kaahanui and a father of 2 sons and a daughter. I’ve also been blessed with a daughter in law and two beautiful granddaughters. I’ve been with Foslic for over 5 years and recently serve as one of the Leaders.
I was invited to the Man-Up breakfast one day and became spiritually ignited by the powerful fellowship and love of God from all the men. We were going through some faith testing trials in our lives and the Lord led us to Foslic that became our home. Through regular attendance, constant prayer, counsel, fellowship, encouraging, and spiritual nutrition of God’s word we were able to get through the toughest adversities of life and everyone’s love included.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, do not depend on your understanding, seek His will in all that you do, and He will show which path to take. HOPE has a name, JOY has a name, PEACE has a name, LOVE has a name. That name is JESUS!!!
Proverbs 3:5-6

Welcome my name is Waynette. I've been married for 32 years to husband Francis Kuewa. Blessed by God we have two wonderful children.
Many years I've struggled and battled with tests and trials that lead me to seeking where I should go to serve the Lord. After asking and seeking God's will, it was July 7, 2019 that I was invited to fellowship with Foslic. After attending for a couple of months, I saw and felt what God's love was like through the congregation.
In August of 2021, I was asked to take over the hula ministry. Since I was a child growing up, hula has always been my passion. My heart was filled with JOY and I humbly accepted. I knew immediately this was my calling and that God surely had a hand in it and lead me here. What an amazing God we serve!
